I know of the 6 people that actually follow my blog probably follow me on Instagram and/or Twitter so you probably saw my wip pics of me printing last night so you know the Horseman prints are on the way... and they look great. I forgot how much work it is to change colors in the middle of a print run without cleaning off the previous color first. It gives you some interesting variations in color but also makes a giant mess. I got 4 of the 7 colors done last night and I'm exhausted today. I've got a blister on my left hand and my legs are killing me. Can't tell if I'm getting old or if I'm getting soft. Or maybe printing is tiring. I guess it doesn't help that last night was the earliest I've gone to bed all week and I laid down at 2AM. I ended up printing more than was ordered SO everyone that was in on the pre-order will get a print whose colors match the original design and none of those will be available to any one else. Also, your prints will be separately numbered, and the remaining prints will be sold for a price slightly higher than what you paid. I also plan on getting some small packets together to send to various important people to help advance the production of the Horseman.
I'm finishing up a heavy project that went a bit long from Christmas and once that is finished I will be working on a handful of 3" Dunny commissions that are long overdue as well as my piece for the Artists Without Borders show next month, my Dudes for the Creepy Crawlers series and a handful of other things all at the same time. My days are already slipping away and I have 7 months to finish all my commissions so I can go to Comic Con!

Justice League Part 2
These guys have been done for a long time but I just finished the boxes and got them shipped out. I originally did a Booster Gold and Blue Beetle set and the collector wanted to do the entire Justice League International and these were figure 3, 4 and 5 in the set. I would be moving onto Ice, Fire and The Flash but I am waiting to hear from him. It's been a while since we talked and he didn't respond to the last email that I sent him.
Batman, Guy Gardner and Martian Manhunter
Here is the image of all the characters that were to be made....eventually.

Custom Box
I finally shipped The Birro Mutation out and did a little custom job on the box. I think this turned out great and is a good example of the evolution of my line work which has been getting darker and darker lately with more and more black. The Breaking Bad pair I did is also a good example of my affinity for darker lines in my current work.

Alot to Do
Here is the finished poster from last week and if I say so myself I am getting pretty good at printing. This came out near perfect and for once Amanda came to help as the time was just slipping away.
I desperately need a drying rack of some kind so without one I just lay them out on the floor to dry so Amanda would take them as I printed and lined them up on the floor. And she posed for the picture that I used to make the drawing for the poster itself...so that is my wife! So cute.

Here is the screen for the black layer.
I've been working on the Jesse and Walt Dunny's and they are close to being done. The sculpting is done and I'm probably about 50% done with the painting. Since this is a holiday gift I decided to do a little extra for the piece so as usual I'm gonna make a custom box but I'm also going to make some custom Breaking Bad wrapping paper... probably white paper with light blue periodic table symbols all over it real small so they almost look like snow flakes. The whole thing needs to be done by the end of the weekend as I have another pretty large project that I need to finish and ship by Christmas.
This Breaking Bad gift box and wrapping is really something that shows the added effort that goes into most of my projects. It also spurned a brainstorm for a future series — The Periodic Table Dunny's. I'm thinking 10 or so of the most colorful elements — considering many of them are just Gray — Illustrating the actual element on the figure and putting the symbol on the face. I actually love this idea, Thanks Chris. It would be fairly simple and a more painterly execution than most people are used to seeing from me. Let me know what you think of this idea.
And finally...more pictures of my cat. I know, I'm pathetic. But he is adorable and really bad at the same time. This is Ripley, and yes he is totally named after Ellen Ripley from my favorite Sci-Fi films of all time— Alien.
I'm not going anywhere for Christmas because of work but Amanda is visiting our family so I'll be alone for 4 days and am gonna lock myself in my apt and make customs non-stop. On deck are a bunch more 3" Dunny's, some mini Munny's, and I SO need to finish this Jaws that has been on my desk for more than 2 years. Man I suck.

Everybody Run
I'm working on a new Gig poster for a show this Friday for a band named Everybody Run. It's a local band here in Atlanta and I met these guys through working my trivia show...which is the same spot I did all those posters for over the last 6 months. For anyone that is familiar this is a blatant homage to the very familiar Banksy image aptly titled "Letting Go" but instead of a young girl and a balloon it's a woman...Amanda posed for me... and the skull featured in the bands name. I was provided the bands logo...well, I scanned it off the EP.
This will be a 3 color run of about 30.
Gray, yellow, black.
Still working out the exact details of the typography but I'm liking this so far.

I am going to take the vector drawing into photoshop and make the edges a bit fuzzy as if there were some underspray considering this is intended to look like a stencil on the cement wall. There are a few spots where I already did it and it looks great so I'm gonna beef up that effect prob another 25% throughout the image.

Jesse and Walt
After a friendly reminder I actually do have 1 job to do for Christmas and it is a pair of 3" Dunny's that are going to be Walt and Jesse from Breaking Bad in their cooking gear. After giving it some thought I've come up with a pretty sweet idea on how to mod the Dunny's and utilize the shape to best execute the image desired. We're trying to replicate this look right here:
I've decided that both figures can actually be built on the same base platform. So I'm going to sculpt a single figure and then cast the second one and I will make them unique and different by making slight alterations to the sculpt after casting and through the paint application. The most innovative thing I think that I'm going to do is I'm going to replace their ears with their respirator masks. Just imagine if these guys had Dunny ears instead of their masks. Their suits and hoods are gonna be sculpted out as well.
So I have a fair amount of work ahead of me but I really think in the end that this pair is gonna be a great representation of the characters as well as yet another stepping stone in my quest to utilize the Dunny in new ways.
Estimated time for completion: 2 weeks.
